Author's Notes:
Writing this ethnography taught me a lot about people and how they interact in social situations as well as the specifics of a discourse community and what criteria make one effiective and distinct. I chose to split up my paper into sections with separate links to pages because my original ethnography was very long and did not lend itself well to digital composition. By splitting up the pages it makes information easier to find and easier to read rather than staring at dense and long sections of text. As I split them up I color coded the sections using the gears symbolistic of engineering, the focus group in my ethnography. The colors help readers to know which section they are on and know if they have read it already or not. The images on each page are meant to tie into both the color scheme of each individual page and the topic at hand.
